A look inside the restaurant. There is another dining area identical to this next door. Both were packed on this particular night.
At most restaurants where the food is cooked at the table an apron is provided so you don't mess up your clothes.

redmango in Samseong at Coex Mall
Last weekend we decided to go to the Megabox movie theater inside Coex Mall to watch X-Men: First Class. We had some time before the movie started so we got some bingsoo (shaved ice with various toppings).

After helping out at my uncle’s business the other day, he decided to take me out with some of his childhood friends. We ended up eating at three restaurants within a span of three hours. I didn’t get the names of any of the restaurants, nor did I know where the hell we were, my apologies.
The first restaurant was a BBQ place that specialized in chicken feet and chicken gizzards. The owner was a former soccer player and invited me out to play with his team the following Sunday. I played like crap so that’s all there is to know about that. Oh and the pictures were taken with my uncle’s Samsung Galaxy 2 so the quality is slightly different than the camera I normally use.
The chicken feet were marinaded in some kind of chili paste and the gizzard was just seasoned with salt and pepper.

Close up of the grill. Chicken feet to your left, chicken gizzard to your right, and a sliced potato in the middle. As bizarre as it looks, chicken feet just tastes like chicken skin. The bones are taken out so it just tastes and feels like your are eating spicy, grilled chicken skin. The gizzard has a very unique taste that I can't describe. It's slightly chewy and has a strange texture. I like it, but I could see why a lot of people wouldn't.

I do remember our last stop was in Apgujeong at a BBQ place that specialized in cow intestines. Most of you are familiar with pig intestines (chitterlings or gop-chang), but this was cow intestines. This was taken right outside the restaurant. Oh by the way, I'm only dressed like a bum because I came right after helping out my uncle at work. I had no idea I was going out afterwards.

So I wasn't a huge fan of these cow intestines. The pieces to the right were different parts of the intestines and were a lot more chewy and tough than the pieces to the left. The pieces to the left were extremely fatty and not as chewy.

McDonald’s in Seocho

Double bulgogi burger combo. This is the large size. The large size in Korea is equivalent to our medium size in the states. I also got a free glass cup.
For those of you that know me, I don't really like eating fast food. But this bulgogi burger was pretty good. I know it looks nasty in the picture, but just trust me.
Looks like a plain burger but the patty is covered in bulgogi sauce.
And yes McDonald's delivers in Korea.

So I was walking by a little clothing store that sells women’s clothes and spotted something interesting.

I find this random shirt on display. In Korea, they consider marijuana just as bad as any other drug so I thought it was funny that they had this shirt on display.

This little spot is located right behind Eunice’s apartment. I did a post on this location before. It was the place with the kimchee jigae and bulgogi. This time we decided to try the yangyum gui (marinaded pork).

On the beach. If you are wondering why I'm wearing the same hoodie in every picture, it's because I thought it was going to be hot in Korea but it ended up being cold the first month I was here so I only brought one hoodie.

De Chocolate in Gangnam
So here's the dessert craze of Korea, Belgian waffles. This one is served with a piece of a banana, kiwi, strawberry and vanilla ice cream, whip cream, and chocolate.

I’ll go ahead and apologize for being lazy and never posting the names of the restaurants I go to. Future posts will be more detailed, I promise. At this restaurant, all of the food was cooked right on the table in a huge pan. What you got to cook depended on what you ordered.

You guys are probably wondering why I went to Baskin Robbins, since it sucks in the states. Well, I was pretty surprised when I came to the one in Korea.
Ice cream, fruit, cake, and cherry tomatoes with melted chocolate. Yeah, not sure why the tomatoes are there. I thought it tasted awful with the chocolate. The ice cream flavors are as follows: raspberry, mint chocolate, strawberry, banana split, green tea, and a couple others.

After you dip the ice cream into the chocolate, you wait a couple seconds for the chocolate to dry and form a crust.
